The Sony Ericsson Idou is an absolutely beautiful phone from Sony that has been designed to be one of the best camera phones in the market.
The Sony Ericsson Idou (pronounced I do) is dominated by a massive 3.5 inches screen, and a body measuring 111 x 54 x 15 mm. The Idou is only available in black, but it looks stunning just like that. Apart from it having a touch screen, the screen also has a built-in accelerometer so that if you turn the phone about, the screen flips between horizontal and vertical. There is no keypad, but there are a few camera dedicated buttons along the side.
The built-in music player supports all popular music formats and has an FM Radio. Although the Sony Ericsson Idou is not a Walkman phone, there are a few features that are typically found only on Walkman phones. These include PlayNow which is a very clever way to view your tracks, and MediaGo which is a revolutionary feature from Sony that allows you to download and play almost any file format. This is applicable for music, video and images.
Of course the main focus of the Idou Sony Ericsson is the camera, and it does not disappoint. The camera has an amazing 12.1 mega pixels, which is enough to rival most dedicated digital cameras. Advanced camera features also include autofocus, digital zoom and a xenon flash. There is face detection, where the camera focuses on faces, smile shutter, where the camera automatically takes a picture when someone smiles, and geotagging, where each picture is tagged with the location at which it was taken.
Application-wise the Sony Ericsso Idou includes a document viewer A GPS navigation and Google Maps, and internet connection is super fast using 3G HSPDA, Bluetooth, EDGE, GPRS, or Wifi.
The Sony Ericsson Idou is an amazing phone, and the 12.1 mega pixel camera really sets it well ahead of all the competition.
